Jupiter police responded earlier this week to a medical call concerning Mary Jane Thomas, wife of country music star Hank Williams Jr.
after she fell ill at the Jupiter Beach Resort & Spa.
Thomas, 58, died Tuesday at a Jupiter hospital.

Williams, 72, is familiar to many music fans over a career dating back to an appearance singing his namesake father’s songs on ABC’s “The Jimmy Dean Show” in 1964 when he was 14.
For more than 20 years, his 1984 Top 10 country single “All My Rowdy Friends Are Coming Over Tonight” was retooled to serve as the opening theme to broadcasts of “Monday Night Football.”
But Thomas, the singer-songwriter’s third wife, kept a lower profile. She didn’t aim at the music spotlight the way her husband and most of his children, including their son Sam, did.
Thomas was reportedly born in Tennessee. But son Sam referenced his mother’s Florida roots in his statement to People magazine this week.
